1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using The6Yard, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Eligibility

• • You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service
• • If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent
• • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• • One person or entity may maintain only one account

3. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and these Terms. You are solely responsible for all content you post and your interactions with other users.

Prohibited Activities

• • Harassment, bullying, or threatening other users
• • Posting hate speech, discriminatory content, or slurs
• • Sharing illegal content or promoting illegal activities
• • Spamming, advertising, or solicitation without permission
• • Impersonating other users or public figures
• • Sharing personal information of others without consent
• • Attempting to circumvent security measures or access controls
• • Using automated systems to access the Service without permission

4. Content Ownership & License

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create and post on The6Yard. However, by posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, distribute, and display your content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

Our Content

The6Yard and its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to design, text, graphics, logos, and software. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.

5. Content Moderation

We use a combination of AI-powered systems and human moderators to enforce our Community Guidelines. We reserve the right to:

• • Remove or modify content that violates our policies
• • Issue warnings or strikes against accounts
• • Temporarily suspend access to the Service
• • Permanently ban accounts for severe or repeated violations
• • Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities

Our strike system operates as follows: 3 strikes within a 6-month period results in account termination. Users may appeal moderation decisions through our support channels.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Subscription Plans

• • Free Trial: 7 days of full access (credit card required)
• • 3-Month Plan: $13 billed every 3 months
• • 6-Month Plan: $22 billed every 6 months
• • 12-Month Plan: $39 billed annually

Billing

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Cancellation & Refunds

• • You may cancel your subscription at any time through account settings
• • Access continues until the end of your current billing period
• • We offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee for first-time subscribers
• • Refunds for annual plans are prorated based on unused time
• • One-time purchases (topic access, match day passes) are non-refundable

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

• • OpenAI - Content moderation
• • Vercel - Hosting
• • Supabase - Database

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

• • We are not responsible for user-generated content accuracy
• • Football data and statistics are provided for informational purposes only
• • We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Service
• • Match times and schedules may change without notice

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE6YARD AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The6Yard and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination:

• • Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• • We may delete your account and content
• • Any outstanding payments remain due
• • Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in New York, NY.

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
